Sperrins Gateway Landscape Partnership – ‘Feeding the Locals’

In spring 2016, Sperrins Gateway Landscape Partnership ran a series of ‘Spring Community Events’, delivered by a range of invited speakers. On Saturday 16th April 2016 Community Gardening delivered ‘Feeding the Locals’ at the Workspace Polytunnel, Back Row, Draperstown. The event was attended by a wide range of ages and interests.

We discussed the needs of wildlife and how, with a few adjustments to our gardening habits, we could encourage more into our gardens. We talked about garden design and planting choices and rounded up with some sowing of wild and garden flowers that would attract more pollinators and support more species.
